The #Ummah is collective... I read the other day that #science has proven #ants, like #humans and #bees are able to communicate about things in the past and future... We see this in the quran where the ant warns the fellow ants if the approaching army of #Sulaiman AS. #Allah was so impressed by the concern this tiny little ant had for it's fellow ants that He honored this tiny ant with mention in the #Quran and named the entire sura after the ant.. Let's look at the translation of the suras named the ant (an naml) and the bee - (an nahl) The little insect who is responsible for the #pollination of flowers- "Who produces from within itself a #beneficial and #healing liquid." These are signs for those who reflect. In both cases when referring to the #insects the feminine is used. We know NOW that it is only the female bees that produce #honey. It is also a fact that the worker ants are female. So it's the females who are responsible for the salvation of the entire swarm. Furthermore in both cases the males are the protectors and maintainers of the swarm. Although these insect were mentioned in no more than two verses in each chapter respectively, the entire chapter was named in their honor. Why? And what lesson is there in this for us? Surely there is more to it than this. These insects have something else in common with the #believer. They act as a collective conscience! The entire swarm, although made up of tens even hundreds of thousands of tiny individuals functions as one unified body! Science says they act like a giant brain. Subhan Allah. An-Nu’man ibn Basheer reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

“The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5665, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2586 All of the #emotions mentioned above are emotions that lift one's energy. When we genuinely feel these emotions of affection, mercy and compassion for each other and direct these emotions to the entire Ummah we can literally lift the emotional of the whole. Each one of us can contributes to the strength of the whole. Maybe not physically but on a #spiritual level. There is a war being fought in many levels. We are being bombarded from all fronts. Every direction we turn there's something drawing our attention. The world is trying so hard to keep us distracted. Jingling trinkets in front of our eyes drawing our attention further and further away from where it's supposed to be.

While we are so busy curating perfect pictures for social media and fighting over recipes, we have taken attention away from #Allah focusing on Him and inturn receiving His focused attention and contributing this to the global consciousness of the ummah! We just have to look within ourselves to realize how weak the collective must be if we, who make up the links in this chain are so weak. So the next time you see a crying #orphan in Syria ot another window in Gaza know that you CAN make a difference to that life. By strengthening your connection with Allah. By uplifting your spiritual state you can uplift and the spiritual state of the Ummah. Change what is with in.....

“Verily, Allaah will not change the (good) condition of a people as long as they do not change their state (of goodness) themselves (by committing sins and by being ungrateful and disobedient to Allaah)” [al-Ra’d 13:11]

We have changed ourselves we have moved away from the way of Allah and His Rasool. We put everything else first and Allah last. Now that we know, we can make a difference We can choose to reclaim our power, our attention and focus it in in the direction it was meant to be. Imagine if we each made the decision to make a U turn. To turn back to Allah. None lose hope in Allah except those who are astray O Allah use us for the service of your Deen and do not replace us.
