Transcendence

ALLAH DOES NOT CHANGEONDITION OF A PEOPLE UNTIL THEY CHANGE WHAT IS WITHIN THEMSELVES. Our faith in Allah and our Trust in Him allow us to transcend our current circumstances. It was his faith in Allah that Allowed Ibrahim As to remain steadfast even in the fire. It was his faith in Allah that allowed Yusuf AS to survive in the dungeon. It was his faith in Allah that allowed Yunus As to remain patient in the belly of the whale. It was her faith in Allah that made Hajar decide to remain in the barren desert all alone with her infant son. It was her faith in Allah that gave Asiya peace and contentment in her heart even though she was persecuted by Pharoah! There comes a time in life where we are faced with situations and events that are beyond the realm of the logical mind. At these times, it is only our understanding that Allah is watching, that He is aware of what we are going through. That He is closer to us than our jugular vein that allows us to transcend our baffled mind and seek safety and support in Him. ALLAH IS THE ETERNAL REFUGE . These are trying times indeed. People are scared and uncertain. We don't know what tomorrow holds. If we do this right, this time can potentially be the greatest gift we were ever given. A time for us to reflect over the lives we've lived and ponder over the changes that need to be made in order to transcend this temporal life and life a life that is worthy of eternal happiness. FLEE TO ALLAH . It is only He who has the power to give you what you seek. Seek it from him in these days of difficulty for it is when a slave is in hardship that he is able to call out with sincerity. It is when a slave is in hardship that he is closest to His Lord. This situation has made us all realize that there are no guarantees. The life, the world, the people we know today, may not be that way tomorrow. What we have come to accept as normal, can potentially be flipped upside down in an instant. THESE ARE LESSONS FOR PEOPLE OF UNDERSTANDING . If this is how troubled and petrified we are over the world, imagine how much worse it will be on the Day of Qiyamah. That day when the secrets of heart will be made apparent and no one will be spared. That day when nothing will be of any avail to man, neither his wealth nor his children... Except the one who comes with a sound heart. How foolish then are we to become disturbed over the things of this world. How foolish we are that we allow temporary distractions to prevent us from attaining the ONLY THING that will matter before Allah when this is all over. HE IS SUCCESSFUL WHO HAS PURIFIED IT (the heart) HE HAS FAILED WHO HAS CORRUPTED IT If we fail to take heed now, and use this as an opportunity to change our lives and work on cleaning our heart, we will be the losers. MAY ALLAH GRANT US THE ABILITY TO SEE THE DEEPER TRUTH IN LIFE AND ALLOW US TO REACH HIM IN A MANNER WHICH HE IS PLEASED.
